Fees

Medicare

The most affordable way for private clients to access our psychological services is by getting a referral and Mental Health Treatment Plan from their GP. This will allow individuals to claim a generous rebate through Medicare.

Fees for services under Medicare are as follows:

$230 standard fee per 50 minute session with a rebate of $88.25.

For further details about Medicare and other government-supported services, please visit: www.humanservices.gov.au. Please contact us for other fee schedules.

National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS)

We are registered to provide services under the NDIS. All NDIS fees are charged at $214.41 per session / hour. Please contact us for further details BEFORE you have your NDIS plan meeting to ensure funds for our services are allocated properly. Currently, due to NDIS regulations, funding for our services must be allocated to the Support Category of Improved Daily Living Skills and under the Support Item of Individual Assessment, Therapy and/or Training.

Private Health Insurance

If you have private health insurance, you may be entitled to rebates for psychological therapy. Health insurance will often provide rebates of up to a half of the total session fee. However, all health insurance providers are different, so clients are encouraged to contact their health insurance provider for more information.

Private Full-Fee Paying

For individuals who wish to access our services privately, all services are charged at $230 per 50 minutes. For organisations who wish to access our services, all services are charged at the rate recommended by the Australian Psychological Society, currently $267 per hour.

Sessions Allowable

Under Medicare, the maximum number of sessions that attract a rebate in a calendar year is 10. Due to COVID-19 pandemic, 10 additional Medicare subsidised individual psychological sessions are available from 9 Octorber 2020 until 30 June 2022. A GP referral is required to get access to the additional sessions. More details can be read from here.

For those registered with the NDIS, the number of sessions allowable will depend on your funding plan. This will vary from person to person according to each individual’s needs and goals. This will be discussed when we meet you for the first time.

In the case of private health insurance, the number of allowable sessions is often only up to 5 in a calendar year, but again, individuals are asked to contact their insurer for further details.

For further information on any of the above, please contact us.
